ZZ Plant soil and repotting
A chunky, airy mix that keeps water-storing rhizomes from rotting.
ZZ plants store weeks of water in potato-like rhizomes, so their soil needs to dry fully between waterings. Pumice and orchid bark keep the mix open and stop it compacting around the rhizomes.
Repot every 2 to 3 years, or sooner if rhizomes start distorting the pot.
